What exactly IS that thang you're doin'?

Ummm....Good question! I've been writing away, just assuming that you all know what nuno felting is and how it's done!! It's quite hard to describe the procedure in so many words though.............lets just say that it takes a lot of patience, almost a whole day to complete a project, loads of elbow grease, and plenty of soapy water!! Brace yourself coz I guarantee you getting pretty wet!! My friend and mentor, Terri Pike, did an excellent job posting a set of enlightening clips in You Tube which describe the process from A to Z:

Never mind the bollocks.......I've got dreadlocks!!!

Remember my 3D sculpture "Pussy Willow"? Well I finally got that project done.........
It's an elaborate collar but with a little imagination, it can be worn as a hat.....

Looks familiar, eh?? This is what it looks like worn the "proper" way (although there really isn't a "proper" way)- it's up to each of our own judgement to do as we see fit!! All we need is a creative imagination!!

OUCH!! My hands and palms ache from all these vine flowers and dreadz I've been making lately.......
It's the easiest, though, because I can work in a confined area whereas nuno felting requires turning my moms dining room into a workshop!! Soooo, in a nut shell, I've been avoiding all chances of "spontaneous combustion" within the nuclear family!! :-)

I must admit I have been MIA lately........... the weather's getting warmer and it's not very pleasant working with wool............

Plus, I've been trying to get myself organized taking photographs and grouping things up..........

On the other hand, I shouldn't drive myself too crazy............I've got the whole summer to shift into gear with all that technical mumbo jumbo.........

........... but it's just sooo damn hard to concentrate............ especially with the SPRING FEVAAAA that's going around lately.........................
