I will never, ever EVER trust my instinct again on what material is silk or wool and what isn't!!! Next time it better have a label!! I purchased this vintage shawl thinking it had soooo much potential, provided that it WAZ wool..............well, it looked, smelled and tasted like wool but much to my unfortunate surprise..............IT WAZN"T!!!!! I figured that out after everything turned into a slushy mess of course!!!

So, I rolled and rolled, needle felted, rolled again, cried a bit, pulled my hair out and smoked a pack of cigs............This is what I managed to salvage after the whole ordeal! I suppose it can stand to be worn a couple of times before it starts falling apart..............What a disaster!!!

And yes, there is a moral to this story..............polyester can be made to look and feel like anything OTHER than polyester!!!

The Scream

OKAYYYYYYY...........I think it's time to lighten up a bit!!
I've been experimenting with 3-D sculpture and vessel making using the scraps of my Solipsist projects. (pictures soon to come) Here is the fruit of all my effort:

Life On Mars?

Following is what I call my "Life On Mars" series...............why?? Oh well, I suppose because they're all in shades of green- like the little green men that live up there...........

Yup......................that's how I imagine life is like up there...............swimming around in a primordial soup..........

So in other words, if I can manage to run faster than the speed of light, THEORETICALLY, I can turn back the hands of time!! Interesting concept Professor Einstein!!
Using prefelts in nuno enables us to achieve semi-geometric shapes and more control over wool roving which tends to have a mind of its own.

Lola is doing a fabulous job but, alas, my photography stinks!!

Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce y'all to my new and improved  felt model- lovely Lola!! She's hot, sexy, easygoing and an excellent alternative for photographing my earlier work (so no more of my scrappy face in this joint!!). She'll have to do for the time being, until my 'live' models return from their fun in the sun summer holidays all refreshed and relaxed for photo shoots of my most recent work which is definitely more elaborate. Unfortunately, there is a shortage of cadavers in August!!!!
