The Mirror People
Taking a break from felting, I decided to fool around with some spray paint on a clear glass vase. I used looking glass spray paint on the interior and on the exterior I used a mat grey in which I carved a giraffe design. The sand dollars are the kind that light up (which explains the ugly looking wire leading from the back- PHOTO SHOP WHERE ARE YOU???!!!) This was basically a time killer but I wanted to post it in my blog, just to have a record of what I can and CAN'T do!! In the meantime, I think I'll just stick to felting!! :)
It Came From Outer Space (the female) aka SPACE ODDITY
Another visitor from outer space..........a mate for our first close encounter!! Don't ask me how the sex is, I wouldn't know!! For this project, I used all the scrap material I had laying around. Nothing goes to waste in felting. This being lights up with a led bulb that changes color but, alas, I am unable to capture it with my meager photographic abilities and my digital camera!! Use your imagination folks!! Seriously though, the pictures don't do it any justice whatsoever!!

The Journey to Hades
I found a piece of driftwood that reminded me of a dead man on his journey to Hades. In Greek mythology, Hades the god of the underworld, was a son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea. Hades ruled the dead, assisted by others over whom he had complete authority. He strictly forbade his subjects to leave his domain and would become quite enraged when anyone tried to leave, or if someone tried to steal the souls from his realm. His wrath was equally terrible for anyone who tried to cheat death. In ancient Greece it was customary to place a coin in or on the mouth of the dead since the dead were required to pay a fare to Charon, the ferryman of Hades.
There are five rivers that separate Hades from the world of the living, they are:
Styx is the most well known river that flows through Hades.
