As I was saying, I have been experimenting with 3D vessel making using the remaining scraps from my Solipsist project. I still haven't got it up to par but I'm trying my best and it's really fun!!
I know, I know ...........too much information but I honestly can pick the best pictures......
What inspires me most when I nuno felt is music. Each project's got it's own "song"- in other words, as I create I "hear the music". Nevertheless, I am also inspired by nature and my surroundings- it could be the clouds on a clear day, the sea, the sun- or the "feel" a certain color gives me. It could be a picture, a smell or even a taste which awakens an old memory............

I will never, ever EVER trust my instinct again on what material is silk or wool and what isn't!!! Next time it better have a label!! I purchased this vintage shawl thinking it had soooo much potential, provided that it WAZ wool..............well, it looked, smelled and tasted like wool but much to my unfortunate surprise..............IT WAZN"T!!!!! I figured that out after everything turned into a slushy mess of course!!!
So, I rolled and rolled, needle felted, rolled again, cried a bit, pulled my hair out and smoked a pack of cigs............This is what I managed to salvage after the whole ordeal! I suppose it can stand to be worn a couple of times before it starts falling apart..............What a disaster!!!
